Homecoming
So i have woken up today (the 8th of January) at 5:30am. I guess my time clock has not yet adjusted. This will probably be my last entry for this trip to refilwe 2010-2011.
So many thoughts but not much left to say. I guess i am still processing the trip and understanding what happened. This year was definitely more intense than the last. I have so many memories with the kids and hopes for their future. So since i don’t have a concrete way of expressing my thoughts on this past trip i will just put out bullet points…
Things i now know:
Organic greens are more fulfilling on a plate and in my mind
Expectations are dangerous
Kids return because they want to be there
Talent is relative but happiness transcends through it all
I can lead
Purpose is hard to find but easier to feel
Students intake unspoken language
Gutters are important during rain
Baboons are not to be messed with
Lions don’t exist..or at least they haven’t exposed themselves to me yet!
Pono is important
Adapt, what else is there…
